Tuffdisc media is the disc with the super-tough top surface. This is extremely important when it comes to CD media. Although CDs are read from underneath, with the laser shining through the plastic layer, the actual data is stored on the other side- right underneath the label!

That means any damage to the label can easily scratch through to your valuable data right beneath and lose it forever. So insist on a super-toughened label.

This pack of recordable CDs can be rewritten to hundreds if not thousands of times. Use them that often, and the cost per use works out at next to nothing, so you can see that they're more economical than single-write CD-R discs if that's what you're planning on doing with them.
